Reebok X Marvel Officially Licensed Limited Edition Sneakers!
Pretty psyched about this one, been sitting on it for a while. Here is the first line of the Reebok X Marvel collaboration that I designed. I’ve been working with kids footwear to create Spider-Man licensed shoes for a few years now, and finally, we can get some adult sizes for us grown-up nerds (and nerd-ettes)! The sneakers drop this summer at specific retailers, read more info here, here, here and here. The first lineup is Captain America, Red Skull, Spider-Man, Venom, Wolverine, Sabretooth, Deadpool, Chamber, Black Widow and Emma Frost.
I remember back when Reeboks were cool, it was around when Steve Francis was in dunk contests and IPods had just come out.. Having said that, some of these are pretty dope(Redskull joints especially). But I don’t even know if my inner comic book geek could justify buying some Reeboks in the year 2012. Fucking Marvel, was it too much to ask to get a deal with Nike or Adidas?! I mean Reebok? For real? Your obviously just trying to keep nerds more fashionably challenged and without blowjobs by putting these bad boys out… Ugh. No Thank you Marvel. Just stick to making movies with no bloody fight scenes and shitty X-Men movies and I’ll continue to go see them opening night while wearing a pair of Jordan’s!!!
Oh, and what’s with those Wolverine ones??? For being such a popular character you sure did a shit job on the shoes… Which isn’t a surprise really when you look at the last movie you made of him. Why don’t you strap a pair of those on that Australian fellow with all the muscles in his next movie while, he kills Bishop (who you make looking like Jax from Mortal Kombat) or some bullshit that’s not in the actually comic books. Wow. Maybe I will buy a pair of those Red Skull ones…
